I am fine with the actions as written above (and with Truffles' suggestion about misinformation) - except that I will hold off on vote stealing until the situation calls for it.

Kontrol, how does JoH's role work? Does he specifically tell you information to be given to the reporter? Or is he essentially misdirectiring the reporter?

So, he feeds the reporter a lead. This lead is pretty free form. So, you can go and say something like someone stopped the doctor from saving a life. Or suspected cult gains strength and followers. Or stay away from <insert name here> they're crazy. Or even something not game related.

K, how do you want to handle this? I think saying someone's name specifically makes people not believe things. I like the cult suggestion, but I'm not sure the game is big enough where people would believe there is a cult. We could imply a poisoning. That might cause a bit of distracting chatter.

Or we could say something about the mafia and the theme. Plant an incorrect theme. Like the mafia is made up of songs that have never been covered or something. Let me go check everyone's songs.

New Radicals' You get what you give (K-Ness) doesn't seem like it's been officially covered, but it has been used in numerous movies and commercials.

My song has been covered numerous times.

Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" (charlesx) was covered once in 2009.

Goo Goo Dolls' Iris (SL) - has been covered.

Lit's My Own Worst Enemy (JoH) - has been covered.

And I'm noticing something with those last two. A bit more research.

Okay, thought I had noticed a theme of sorts, that Avril Lavigne had covered all the songs, but I only found that she did a cover of three of the songs.

I think "So" is supposed to be "No" at the beginning there.

Though I do have another question, that I'm not sure he can actually answer. Is the Reporter someone's role?

Or, maybe ask this way, is this information going to someone else, or is it being incorporated into the write up, as an NPC?

The reporter is a role. That was the one tidbit of information that I included to give the mafia a bit more of an "informed minority" edge.

I can't say anything more than that in regards to the role though.
